Swim Challenges and Programs
The YMCA hosts various fitness, swimming and sport challenges throughout the year to motivate our community. Check out what we have to offer. Challenges motivate and inspire, and also help you stay accountable so you can become a better version of yourself!
1776 Summer Swim Challenge
Swim 1776 lengths during the summer months. 1776 lengths= 44,400 yards= 26.9 miles. Participants that finish will receive a printed swim bag!

Clarion County 50-Mile Club Swim Challenge
We’re excited to highlight our swimmers who go to the great lengths in 2024! New for 2024, we will be recognizing swimmers who achieve 25, 50, and 100 miles of lap swimming. Those who achieve the goals will receive custom prizes and their name listed on the Wall of Fame for 12 months.
One mile= Sixty-six lengths. One Length = One 25-yard swim across our pool.
Must be a Clarion County YMCA member to join.
When: January 1st, 2024 – December 31st, 2024
Location: Clarion County YMCA pool
Cost for members & non-members:
100-mile Challenge $30; Prize = 100-mile sweatshirt
50-mile Challenge $25; Prize = 50-mile towel
25-mile Challenge $20; Prize = 25-mile t-shirt
