Trainings and Certifications
The YMCA offers different trainings and certifications. These certifications include Lifeguarding and CPR. Check back to see what classes are being offered.
Lifeguarding Cerification
Through videos, group discussion, and hands-on practice, you’ll learn teamwork, rescue and surveillance skills, First Aid, CPR/ AED, plus more to work as a lifeguard.
When: online April 29th- may 3rd. In-person May 4th 9am-5pm & the 5th from 9-2 pm.
Register is limited to 12 people. Register early
Location: the in-person portion is held at the Oil City YMCA

Lifeguard Recertification
This is for current lifeguards. This class reviews skills and information that is needed to renew a current lifeguard certification.
When: May 5th from 9-2pm
