The YMCA hosts various fitness, swimming, and sports challenges throughout the year to motivate our community. Check out what we have to offer. Challenges motivate and inspire, and also help you stay accountable so you can become a better version of yourself!
Rise and Shine
A time of gathering together for Prayer, Bible Study and Inspiration. Hosted by Pastor Dan Murray with Living Streams Ministries

Blood Pressure Monitoring
Take control of your heart health with the American Heart Association’s Self-Measured Blood Pressure Monitoring (SMBP) Program. Designed to empower individuals to manage their blood pressure at home, this program provides tools and resources for accurate monitoring, helping you and your healthcare team make informed decisions. By tracking your blood pressure regularly, you can take proactive steps towards a healthier heart. Free for members 18 and older. Blood Pressure cuffs will be loaned out for 2-week sessions.
500 lb Club
Lift at least 500 pounds total combining your weight lifted from a deadlift, squat, and bench press. Lift the minimum and become part of the club! Club Members receive a free t-shirt and get their name on the Wall of Strength in the weight room!

Fitness Assesment
Your resting heart rate, blood pressure, weight, and body fat percentage are measured. Fitness tests will then be administered to assess your cardiovascular endurance, muscular strength, and flexibility. These assessments will help you identify your strengths and weaknesses and help you determine an exercise program to achieve your fitness goals. By appointment. $10 for YMCA members

Learn to Run a 5k
Become stronger, healthier and faster with each step! Have a one on one 30 min assessment at the beginning to make a personalized running/run walk/walking plan specific to you. Receive a one-month plan to get ready for any race or to become a better runner/walker. All ability levels are welcome. Sign up with a friend and stay committed together! This program is led by Emma Davis and is ongoing! Register now for $30 for a monthly plan.

National Walking Month May
Enjoy the benefits of walking by joining the Oil City YMCA Walking Club! Walk with a friend or unwind with a peaceful walk by yourself. Sign a footprint on the Wellness Center windows. Register for FREE!

Taking Off Pounds Sensibly with a meeting each Wednesday at 1:00 pm in our Multipurpose Room. TOPS can help you reach your weight loss goals with tools, information, support, and accountability you need to be successful. Low monthly fees. Contact Beverly Miller.

Weight Loss Challenge
Slim down and earn cash! This eight week challenge will motivate you to lose 5% of your body weight, and if you do, you’ll earn cash! Participants will weigh-in at the beginning of the challenge and weigh-out at the end. Look for tips and encouragement from a wellness coach. The challenge is to lose 5% of your body weight in 8 weeks. May 4th – July 5th
Weigh in at the YMCA during our hours of operation on May 4th – 9th
Members pay $25; Non-members pay $45 for the challenge
The $20 challenge fee goes in to a winners’ pot to be split by all the winners. The additional cost goes to the YMCA.
Complete your final weigh-in at the YMCA during the hours of operation on June 30th – July 5th
