YMCA ALL KIDS PLAY: 3^rd through 6^th grade YOUTH BASKETBALL

3^rd and 4^th/ 5^th and 6^th grade developmental basketball program

WHEN: The program begins the week of November 9^th with two session times available for players. Each session will be held at the Clarion County YMCA in the gym.

• 3^rd and 4^th grade families can choose either a Wednesday 5:30 pm session or a Saturday 10:15 am session
• 5^th and 6^th grade families can choose either a Wednesday 6:45 pm session or a Saturday 9:00 am session.

LOCATION: Clarion County YMCA Gymnasium

AGES:  Youth in grades 3 through 6. Each session has a limit of 25 players!

YMCA FALL FLAG FOOTBALL:

ARE YOU READY FOR SOME FOOTBALL?!?!?!?

This 8 session program focuses on player and skill development. Led by YMCA staff and volunteers.

WHEN: Begins Saturday, September 12th with three age divisions available!

1st & 2nd Grade: 9am- this group will take place in 4 weeks of skill building practices followed by 4 weeks of scrimmages and games. This group will focus on the fundamentals of the game.

3rd – 5th Grade: 10:15am- this group will take place in 4 weeks of skill building practices followed by 4 weeks of scrimmages and games. This group will focus on fundamentals of the game as well as taking a next step into more advanced skills and drills

6th – 8th Grade: 11:30am- this group will go through 3 weeks of skill evaluation before being split up into teams for scrimmages and games. This group will focus on gameplay and learning what it means to be competitive!

YMCA MINI MOVERS: INTRODUCTION TO FLAG FOOTBALL

Pre-k and Kindergarten Flag Football program designed to introduce your child to the beginning skills and rules of the game of flag football.

WHEN: Begins Monday September 7^th and will last for 6 straight Mondays. Practices to be held from 4:30 to 5:15 pm.

LOCATION: Clarion County YMCA Sports Field

AGES: Youth ages 4 to 6

COST: $35/members and $60/non-members

Keep your little ones active and moving this winter with our Mini Movers program! Kiddos will meet on Monday afternoons for an hour of activities and fun. Those activities can include anything from games like “Turtle Tag” and capture the flag, to sports like flag football and soccer!

The program will consist of three separate sections:

Section 1: Soccer Showdown – November 2,9

Section 2: Tag, You’re It! – November 16,23

Section 3: NinjaNastics and Obstacles – November 30, December 7

Join us for Sports of All Sorts—a high-energy, all-in-one program designed to keep kids moving, learning, and having fun! Each week features a different sport or activity, introducing youth to a variety of games and creative experiences in a safe, supportive YMCA environment.

From Nerf battles to kickball, slime-making to Lego building, and even flag football and wiffleball, your child will explore new interests, build friendships, and stay active—all while enjoying a delicious meal afterward!

Wednesdays | 5:30–6:30 PM | Ages 6–12
Each week is a new adventure—full of movement, teamwork, and creativity! A meal is served after each session.

• Week 1: Nerf Games – Teamwork and Coordination

YMCA Summer Soccer is a developmental soccer program for Pre-K thru 6th grade. During the program youth will work on individual offensive and defensive skills, as well as learning the team aspects of the game.

WHEN?: Summer Soccer will begin on Saturday, July 11th and will last for six straight Saturdays (weather pending)

WHO?: There will be THREE AGE GROUPS available for spring soccer :

– Pre-K thru K:10 am-11 am

– 1st thru 3rd grade:11:10 am-12:25 pm – 4th thru 6th grade:12:35pm-1:50 pm

WHERE?: The YMCA soccer program will take place at the YMCA soccer fields located right next to the Hasson Pool.

MORE DETAILS:  The first three weeks of the program will consist of skill and knowledge building practices, with the final three weeks of the program consisting of games. Teams will be made by the Youth Director.

WHERE THE GIRLS PLAY  

Now an official PIAA sport for Clarion Area School District this coming school year!!

This year the YMCA will be hosting our own Girls Flag Football Program. The program will be available for girls in grades 3^rd-6^th. This six-week program will introduce players to the fundamentals and skills of flag football through skills and drills practices. Players will also get the chance to compete against one another during games.

WHEN: Begins Monday, September 7^th from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. and will last for six straight Mondays.
