Youth Soccer
Come to the YMCA and learn about the worlds most popular sport!
The YMCA teaches youth of all ages the fundamentals of the game of soccer. Through drills, objective based games, and live game play youth are taught individual and team skills. Those skills include; dribbling and control, passing and receiving, shooting, and individual and team defense.
Spring Soccer (1st and 2nd grade)
YMCA Spring Soccer is a developmental soccer program for youth ages 3 through 8th grade. During the program youth will work on individual offensive and defensive skills, as well as learning the team aspects of the game.
WHEN?: Spring Soccer will begin on Saturday, May 11th and will last for six straight Saturdays (weather pending)
WHO?: There will be FIVE AGE GROUPS available for spring soccer :
– 3 AND 4 YEAR OLDS: 9:30 start time – 5 and 6 year olds: 10:45 am start time
– 1st and 2nd grade: noon start time – 3rd through 5th grade: 1:15 start time
– 6th through 8th grade: 1:15 start time
WHERE?: The YMCA soccer program will take place at the YMCA soccer fields located right next to the Hasson Pool.
MORE DETAILS: The first three weeks of the program will consist of skill and knowledge building practices, with the final three weeks of the program consisting of games. Teams will be made by the Youth Director, and each child will receive a team t-shirt.
COST: $40/members and $60/non-members
