YOUTH  3 ON 3 BASKETBALL TOURNAMENT-

The Oil City YMCA will be hosting a Youth 3 on 3 basketball tournament for players in grades 3 through 12.

Playing divisions will be separated according to the following criteria: 1. Gender 2. Playing experience 3. age

The YMCA will do our best to stay as close to these playing divisions as we can:

• 3rd and 4th grade
• 5th and 6th grade
• 7th and 8th grade
• 9th and 10th grade (JV level)
• 11th and 12th grade (Varsity Level)

All age divisions will have a boys and girls bracket available. Teams may be shifted to different age brackets based on playing experience, for example: a 10th grader who plays at the varsity level would be moved up to play in the Varsity level playing division.

Due to limited court space, Team captains will be notified the night before the tournament of division start time.

WHEN: Saturday April 27th. Tournament begins at 9:30 a.m. and will begins with the lowest age groups playing first. Oldest age groups divisions will begin last.

LOCATION: Oil City YMCA

AGES: 3rd through 12th grade

COST: $65/team

This program offers a great way to work physical activity, healthy living, socialization and play into your home school curriculum. Open to kids and parents who are learning from home.

When: Fridays, 2pm – 3pm; runs monthly

Location: Clarion County YMCA

Ages: 5-16 and parent/guardians

Cost: Members Free, $25/monthly for non-members per child, parent included

Register in advance at the membership desk or online!  Bring a dish to share!  Luncheons are held in the YMCA Multipurpose Room and are for anyone who wants to gather with friends to socialize and share a meal.  Luncheons are free. Simply sign up so we know how many will be attending!

March 8 @ 11:00 am—St. Patrick’s Day Leprechaun Lunch—Corned Beef and cabbage will be provided. Bring a side dish or dessert to share.

April 12 @ 11:00 am—Easter Celebration Lunch— Ham & potatoes will be provided. Bring your favorite Easter side dish or dessert to share.

May 10 @ 11am: Mom’s Favorite Bring a casserole, salad, bread or dessert to share

MEMBER LUNCHEONS
Join your friends for lunch. Our members are invited to a luncheon hosted at the YMCA one Thursday a month. Members can bring their favorite dish, side dish, or dessert to share.

PA Fish and Boat Commission Basic Boating Course

Geary J Buterbaugh, Basic Boating Instructor For PFBC, will be teach this course to obtain your Blue Card. Who needs this course? Anyone born after January 1, 1982 who wishes to operate a power boat or jet ski on the Pennsylvania waterways. All persons regardless of age needs to have this course to operate a jet ski. Must attend both days to pass. There is no cost at the time of the class. Once the participant passes the exam, they can send $10 to Pennsylvania Fish and Boat commission for their “Blue Card”. All participants will receive a floating key chain thanks to Clarion County Sportsmen for Youth Inc.

When: May 6 & 7, 2024; 5pm – 9pm both nights

Safety Around Water

A FREE SWIM PROGRAM FOR KIDS AGES 5-12

Learn basic swimming skills and important water safety!

Swim lesson plans are designed for grade school children who are non-swimmers. The course is meant to teach water safety, basic swimming skills, rescue skills and character development- while having fun!

Starts: April 29^th, 2024

Times: Session A: 4:00-4:30   Session B: 4:35-5:05
