In this digitally distracted era, it’s completely normal to feel like you aren’t connecting with your kids.

There is still NO better way to build a happy family than to spend quality time together.

Solution:

Let’s all put the devices away for a few hours and connect. One awesome tradition to ensure your family is getting enough quality connection time together is to attend a fun family night at the Clarion County YMCA

When: Fridays 6-8pm

Location: Clarion County YMCA pool

Ages: all ages; must be accompanied by an adult if under 8 years old

Cost: Free for members

Father Daughter Dance

Father Daughter Dance

This is a dance for Dads, or Granddads, and their daughters/granddaughters. The idea is a fun night for the family giving Fathers and daughters opportunities to connect, while listening to great music and enjoying light refreshments. There will be a live DJ, & photographer to take pictures. Tickets go on sale April 1st at the YMCA service desk. All proceeds benefit Younger Years Child Care Center at the Clarion County YMCA and the YMCA’s Annual Campaign. Dress up and have a blast!

HEALTHY KIDS DAY

Healthy Kids Day is the Y’s national initiative to improve the health and well-being of kids and families. For over 30 years, YMCAs and their communities hosted free community events aimed to inspire kids and families to keep their minds and bodies active throughout the summer months and beyond.

A free event for the community will include different activities, games, vendors, pool time, and much more!

WHEN  Saturday April 18th from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.

Healthy Kids Kitchen

Healthy Kids Kitchen: A hands-on nutrition experience designed to make healthy living both fun and accessible for families.
Healthy Kids Kitchen is an interactive class where participants will learn practical skills for preparing nutritious foods. Launching at the YMCA, the program will be offered bi-monthly with dates to follow, with each session featuring new and engaging activities.
Kids and parents will work together to cut fresh fruits and vegetables, encouraging teamwork while building confidence in the kitchen.
Each event will include two 30-minute sessions, with space for up to 10 participants per session. The program is open to children ages 5 and up, making it a perfect opportunity for young learners to develop lifelong healthy habits in a supportive and enjoyable environment.

2025 YMCA HOLIDAY HOOPLA

WHAT?: The Holiday Hoopla is a program designed to provide your children with fun and structured activities during Christmas break.

Each day of the Holiday Hoopla consists of activities and games in the gym, free swim in the pool, arts and crafts, and lunch for the kiddos participating!

WHEN?: December 26, 29, 30  from 10:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.

, WHO?: Youth ages 6 to 14

COST?: $45/members  $70/non-members for entire week.

HOLIDAY HOOPLA SCHEDULE:

 DECEMBER 26TH:

10-10:30 a.m.– child drop off

10:30 am-noon: Dodgeball games in the gym

Noon– 1:30: Lunch and crafts/activities in the multipurpose room w/ movie

ACTIVITY OF THE DAY: Holiday bingo w/ prizes! Legos and board games. Movie and  hangout time in the game room

1:30– 2:30 p.m.: swimming in the pool

2:30-3:00: game room hangout/child pick up

LUNCH MENU: Lasagna with fruit and veggie with milk

DECEMBER 29TH:

10-10:30 a.m.– child drop-off

10:30 a.m.– noon: Nerf Battles in the gym

Noon-1:30: lunch and crafts/activities in the multipurpose room

ACTIVITY OF THE DAY: board games and New years craft. Movie and hangout time in the game room

1:30-2:30: swimming in the pool

2:30-3:00: game room hangout/child pick up

LUNCH MENU: Chicken Nuggets with fruit and veggie with Milk

DECEMBER 30TH:

10-10:30 a.m.– child drop off

10:30 a.m.– noon– Ninja Warrior Course in gym

Noon– 1:30 p.m.– Lunch and crafts/activities. Movie and hangout time in the game room

ACTIVITY OF THE DAY: Tie-dye day!

1:30-2:30– swimming in pool
